XENOPHOBIC ATTACKS MR.LA Expresses Regret,Calls For Quick Intervention To Halt Further Slide To Anarchy

Kaduna

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the 2019 General Election, Mr.Lawal Adamu, has condemned the ongoing xenophobic attacks on foreign nationals especially Nigerians in South Africa.
Mr.Lawal Adamu, fondly called Mr.LA by his supporters said that the ugly and barbaric actions of a few South Africans have  gotten the world worried and has brought the attention of the world on South Africa for all the negative purposes.
Mr.LA who spoke to the mammoth crowd that came to welcome him back from the Haj expressed shock at the gory images, videos and stories coming out of that Southern African country .
“I am shocked beyond all words at the gory images and videos coming from South Africa on how Nigerians and other Africans were slaughtered like dogs and chickens on the streets of that country while the police stood idly by.”
The astute politician reminded the people of south Africa, how the Government and people of Nigeria stood by them during the dark days of Apartheid.
Mr.LA  reminisced on  how Nigerian musicians made  ‘Free Mandela’ a national anthem and how South African songs and movies became household utensils in Nigeria.
“I wondered how South Africans  could turn back and bite the fingers that once fed them, the breast that once suckled them, the back that once carried them, the roof that once sheltered them,” he said.
While praying for the souls of the innocently murdered, Mr LA called on the government of the day to be brave at times like this and take decisive steps to protect lives and properties of Nigerians living in the troubled nation.
He also pleaded with the youths to be calm in situations like  this, since “an  eye for an eye’ makes the whole village blind”
He further  called on  the African Union, AU  to act fast to avoid the situation further deteriorating.
