The leader of Vigilante Group of Nigeria Dr. Usman Muhammad Jahun has drawn the attention of members of the group towards the importance of unity saying that they will not achieve anything as long as they are divided against one another in Nasarawa state, the North Central and the country in general.
He further called on the members of the group to cooperate with the new commander in in the fight against terrorism in the state which is the trending issue in the country and the purpose for which the vigilante was established many years ago.
Earlier the leader of the vigilante has called on the Nasarawa state government to assist the group in terms of welfare and supply of working materials as is done in other states in the country.
On his own part, the traditional ruler of Karu, Alhaji Jibrin Waziri who was represented by Alhaji Adamu Madakin Gurku explained that the chiefdom is aware of the good work of the vigilante group not only in the state but in the entire country. He therefore said that the chiefdom is ready to continue to support the group at all times.
The host of the event and the commander of the Nasarawa state vigilante Mr. Godwin Jezhi Ayinda praised the efforts of the state government in supporting the group promising that the group will do everything possible to ensure that they burst criminals in the nooks and cranny of the state.
Finally, the commander reiterated the need for the government to provide the necessary working materials and other needs for the group to do its work efficiently.
The three days event which took place at the headquarters of the Civil Defence Corpse in Abuja ended with a parade display by the vigilante group.
