UPP ODIKE VOWS TO FACE AKUFFO ADDO AND MAHAMA IN A NATIONAL DEBATE

Founder, leader and National Chairman for the United Progressive Party (UPP) Akwasi Addai Odike has challenged flag bearers of the two main parties in Ghana NPP and NDC to a political duel; stating that he is prepared to engage them in a national debate on any platform.

In an exclusive interview with the press,  the outspoken presidential aspirant for UPP dared the sitting President Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo of the NPP and former President John Dramani Mahama who is of the NDC to engage he Odike in a debate on national policies not limited to only infrastructure but those that can transform the country as well.

“If any institution calls for a national debate, I am ready to face them on any platform or any network at any time.”

For Odike, deductions from the administration of the duo coupled with the economic status-quo of Ghana suggest that they are deficient of pertinent ideas and policies required to trigger the rapid development of the country, hence the poor state of affairs.

“They are myopic thinkers. They are only doing politics of equalization and per what the country is witnessing at the moment, I will say on authority that they are day dreamers”, he roared without mincing word.

Granting a cozy dialogue with this medium, the die-hard opposition leader was completely shuddered to the bone over why leadership of the two political parties (NPP and NDC) have until now failed to take a cue from how countries in the likes of Brazil, Singapore, Malaysia and Indosenia who acquired their independence in the same year with Ghana are rapidly progressing “more than us”.

When questioned on why the aforementioned nations are far ahead of Ghana vis-à-vis national development, he set the record straight that the former President Mahama and the incumbent are deficient of leadership and intellectual abilities needy to bridge the knowledge gap between Ghana and other developed countries especially South Korea.
