A 20- year- old Unemployed man who stole Gh¢20,000.00 and €2,300.0 from Jerry Dickson storeroom has been sentenced to four years imprisonment in hard labour by Cape Coast Circuit Court.
The convict, Emmanuel Aprego Bozo, pleaded guilty to the charge of stealing and unlawful entry
Prosecuting Detectives Inspector John Asare Bediako told the Court presided over by Mrs. Dorinda Smith Arthur that the complainant Mr. Jerry Dickson and Felicia Dickson are couples who live together with Bozo
Narrating the fact of the case, Detective Inspector said about six months ago Mr. Dickson brought Bozo from Tokuriga in the Northern Region to teach him driving.
He said, a few months later Mr. Dickson asks him to leave his house and go back to Tokuriga due to his bad attitude.
According to him, on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, the convict and his accomplice broke into Mr. Dickson’ storeroom and made away with Cash of Gh¢ 20,000.00 and € 2,300.00 pounds on the absent of complainant and his family and quickly boarded a vehicle to Forex to change it and bolted
The Complainant followed Bozo to Tokuriga but he was on a run and later return.
Bozo gave over Ghc 18,200.00 and € 1,300.00 to one Aaron at Navrongo and he also notified Madam Dickson.
On Thursday, August 8, 2019, Mr. Dickson received a call from Bozo threatening to kill him if he followed him to Northern which led him reported the case to the police.
He said with the assistance of Police he was arrested from his hideout while his accomplice is still on the run
