The Supreme Court of Nigeria has set Wednesday, October 30, 2019, for the commencement of the hearing of appeal suit filed by Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party,PDP in the 2019 and his party challenging the judgment of the presidential election tribunal, PEPT, which upheld the election of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The PDP made this known in a statement issued on Sunday via its official Twitter handle.
The party’s tweet reads, “Breaking News! The Supreme Court of Nigeria has scheduled to hear the Appeal of the @OfficialPDPNig and @atiku / @PeterObi, arising from the judgment of the Appeal Court, on Wednesday, October 30, 2019. It’s time to #RescueNigeria.”
