Sime Darby Liberia restricts residents from using Company health center

The Management of Sime Darby Liberia have started restricting residents in the Sime Darby plantation from using the company health center on grounds that only workers and family members working with the company are allowed.

According to Bomi County Senator Sando Johnson and Chairman on Concession and Investment at the Liberia Senate, told news men that the management of the Company confirmed the information.

Senator Johnson said the senior management of Sime Darby Company told his office that due to low income generated on a daily basis the company is unable to serve outsiders but only able to serve her employees.

“The company management have notifies residents in the plantation that are not under the employ of the Company to no longer use the facility and have also informed officials of the Company clinic to only treat employees in the Company” Senator Johnson disclosed.

He at the same time told Journalists that he is making all efforts to appeal on behalf of his citizens to enable the Company health center treat everyone living in the Company operations areas.

Senator Sando Johnson also disclosed that the Management of Sime Darby plantation have started to redonance over Ninty one Security officers working with the Company.

The Bomi County Lawmaker has assured Citizens that talks are ongoing between his office and the Company to resolve the current problems residents are face with.
