Report Anybody With Gun Injury – Ogun Police Tell Hospitals

The Ogun State Police Command has hospitals operating in the state and ot neighbouring states to report any patie bullet injuries to the nearest police state.

The command in a statement signed b Spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said suspected kidnappers had escaped wit injuries after engaging the police in a g release their colleagues who DAILY PO reported were nabbed yesterday at Od border town between Lagos and Ogun.

Oyeyemi said, “On August 21, the effor State Police Command in checkmating activities of hoodlums, who have taken kidnapping as business yielded a positi when four members of a kidnap gang abducted three persons including a so Chief Imam of Ode-Omi Community on 11th of August 2019 which coincident Sallah day were arrested by men of the Command.
“The three victims namely: Adamson B Adam Jelil and Sanni Azeez were earlie on 16th of August 2019 while police k trailing their abductor who are still hibe the creek.
“At a stage, the policemen advanced to hideout in the creek and engaged them battle; four policemen were injured in t forcing the policemen to withdraw but l ambush around the area.
“Unknown to them that they are being four members of the gang came out of probably to relocate to another place a swooped on them and got them arrest
According to Oyeyemi, two cut to size live cartridges, one cylinder, one boat e assorted charms were recovered from suspects.
“While the arrested suspects were bein Abeokuta by men of SARS, their other who have laid ambush for them betwe and J4 attacked the team with the vie their arrested members, resulting to cr between the gang and the police.
“At the end of the gun duel, two out of arrested suspects and one of the attac fatally injured. One pump action gun b the attackers and three expended cartri recovered at the scene of the ambush some of the attackers escaped with bu injuries.
“The Command hereby seize this oppor appeal to members of the public, espe hospitals to report anybody seen with injury to the police in their area,” Oyey explained.
