INDEPENDENT BODY SHOULD PROBE THE EXPATRIATE SAGA -SAID CPP CHAIRMAN.
The founding member and former Ashanti regional chairman of Convention People’s Party CPP , Mr. A. S Osei Yaw has called for an independent body to investigate the expatriate saga rather than the five member committee selected by Parliament.
According to him, the five member committee who were selected by parliament to probe the saga have their own political interest towards the investigation, therefore at the day they wouldn’t be any substantive resolution to the saga.
He added that, the President of the republic H.E Akuffo Addo has already proved the trade minister Mr. Alan Kyeremanteng and his ministry not guilty of the extortion of money from businessmen during the expatriate award,so there is no need for any further investigation into the matter.
He said, the minority has done well to summoned the entire members of Parliament to speaker for such to be discussed but they can never overcome their ambition so far as the majority in Parliament are concern.
“I won’t be surprise , if the committee wouldn’t be able to prove the trade minister guilty at the end of their investigation”.
He shared his opinion with Onua news after Parliament set five member committee yesterday to investigate expatriate award saga .
