GNASSM BEAR TEETH AT GOV’T OVER REFUSAL TO LIFT BAN.
The Ghana National Association of Small Scale Miners [ GNASSM ] have beard teeth at the government over its delay of lifting the barred on mining since last year.
The association in a press engagement today at TUC Ashanti region has appealed to the government to put in place measures to lift the ban for legitimate license miner to operate.
“The GNASSM has put in a place a comprehensive ROAD MAP to deal with the situation and also prepare the grounds towards the achievement of ROAD-REGULATION / SELF- POLICING of our members and the industry as a whole. We will be unveiling this in our next press engagement”, they stressed.
The association reiterated” this can only be achieved if the ban is lifted ,and we want the ban to be lifted now”.
There was a massive representation of other stakeholders, such as staff of Suame Magazine and others.
The Regional Organizer Mr Kwaku Duah who spoke on behalf of the Association said ,their mission is to promote effective, efficient and responsible artisaal and small scale sustainable development.
