GHANA IS 62 YEARS BUT ASHALAJA COMMUNITY LACKS PORTABLE DRINKING WATER — CHIEF CRIES

The Zongo chief of Ashalaja in the Ga South municipality of the Greater Accra region Alhaji Yusif Tahiru has hinted that, Ghana is 62 years old but yet Ashalaja community lacks portable drinking water and other social amenities which needs immediate solution.

According to the chief , 50% of residents in the area are going blind due to the unhygienic water they drink.

He made this pronouncement to Opanyin Darko in an exclusive interview at Ashalaja yesterday.

The Ashalaja community has been totally neglected by current and previous governments in terms of development, he bemoaned.

He has therefore called on the Ga south municipal chief executive officer Hon. Joseph Nyarni to as a matter of urgency provide portable drinking water for the community.
