ENACT LAW TO REGULATE EASTER ACTIVITIES: CHIEF TELLS GOVT

A sub chief of Weija Ashankpokoashie, Nii Dzanor Kwei has told government to enact law that will regulate Easter activities .
Nii Dzanor Kwei lamented that the way social vices are the order of the day during Easter festivity, it is important for the government to come out a law that will provide checks and balances in the celebration of the Easter

Citing areas which these social vices are on the rise during Easter, he said, Kwahu in the Eastern region is gradually becoming a hub of immoral activities such as prostitution and alcoholism.
Nii Dzanor Kwei further suggested that the government should collaborate with the traditional leaders, Pastors and Opinion leaders in the various communities especially where Easter festive is highly celebrated to ensure that it is celebrate with decency.

He was of the view that Easter is loosing its relevance because the celebration is no more to remember the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ but to make merry and have fun .
On that note, Nii Dzanor Kwei urged clergymen to up their game in ensuring that Easter is celebrated with a sense of decency and maturity.
