SME scale enterprise that supply educational materials and food stuff to secondary schools in the country are calling on the government to recognize them as lead vendors in the implementation of the Free Senior High Schools policy.
The National public relations officer of the group, Mr Issac Antwi Boasiako, disclosed that the small scale enterprise may suffer unfair market competition with bigger vendors if the government does nothing to protect them.
The implementation of the Free Senior High School programme will kick us out since we have been supplying over the years to various items to schools through the procurement process with individuals schools and the Ghana Education Services he said.
“We therefore want to draw the attention of the government to recognise us as the lead vendors of the country.”
