DON’T BE IN BED WITH GOVT-TRADITIONAL LEADER CHARGES SPECIAL PROSECUTOR.

The Head of Nii Arde Mkpa family in the Greater Accra Region, Daniel Nii Arde Tagoe has charged the one who will be appointed as a Special Prosecutor not to be in bed with the government.
According to the Head of Nii Arde Mkpa family, any attempt by the Special Prosecutor to dance to the tune of the the government of the day will spell doom for the country’s quest in fighting corruption.
He urged the one to be appointed as Special Prosecutor to be firm and resist any form of oppression either from the ruling government or the past government.
The whole machinery of the office of the Special Prosecutor, according to the Nii Ade, should not succumb to the pressure from the political parties and civil societies but the office should be fair to any manner of persons; devoid tribalism and favoritism.
“The office of the Special Prosecutor should not be seen as an office of witching hunting and oppressiveness”, he admonished
He was of the view that it is about time corruption should be a high price to pay in this country.
“I think Ghana has come far and we have reached a point that corruption should be a high price to pay and should be the last thing a Ghanaian will think of involving him or herself”, he said
He asserted that Ghana could have reached far in terms of development if it had not been corrupt official who were thinking of how they could amass wealth at the expense of the State.
Nii Ade Mkpa expressed hope that with the coming of the Special Prosecutor couple with the good policies and programs this government is rolling, Ghana will be a great country in terms of economic development in the few years to come.
Nii Ade is expecting the government to invest in the production sector because he believes that a strong production sector could mitigate unemployment which has been an albatross on the neck of every government.
He is again, expecting a robust economy, strong energy sector and job creation.
Nii Ade in all these asked each and every Ghanaian to contribute his or her quota to the development of Ghana because according to him Ghana is for Ghanaians and it is their contributions that could make the country great and strong.
