Court Sentenced Three To Six Months Imprisonment for Unlawful Escape from Police Custody
According to starmediaghana.com correspondent Obrempon Back K.Owusu, the three who escaped earlier this month from the Nkwanta- district police are:Slisa Ayefune 21 years trader, Kwesi Nenebo 20-years timber operator and David Atteh 19-years-palm wine tapper.
The three were recaptured by the help of Togo police (Shandal) and pleaded guilty to the offence.
The district police command A.S.P William Ayensu, told newsmen that on the 11th September, 2017, the escapes removed one of the cells padlocks and scratched it on the wall and later poured water to softened to escaped.
With the help of police in (chifama Togo), they were recaptured and brought to Ghana on Saturday with the offence charged he said.
Slisa Ayenfune, a.k.a stone, who was an ex convict was in custody on a charge of stealing was captured when he along with others escaped from cells.
David Atteh, who was also in the custody on a charge of murder whiles Kwesi Nenebo was standing trials for defilement.
The three pleaded guilty to the offence charged and later convicted to six months imprisonment.
