BRYAN ACHEAMPONG GIVES TEACHERS’ SCHOLARSHIP

The Minister of State in Charge of National Security and Member of Parliament for Abetifi Constituency, Hon Bryan Acheampong has added teachers scholarship to his foundation. This came following a promise the honorable member made to Teachers in the Kwahu East District some months.

In a press statement released by the communication directorate of the Abetifi constituency brought to the notice of all media houses and the general public, a scholarship package being rolled out by the Bryan Acheampong Foundation in pursuance of the promise made at the teachers appreciation day in Pepease in December 2018 by Bryan Acheampong, MP Abetifi Constituency and Minister of State in Charge of National Security,

The package which is a novelty in the entire country is an exclusive initiative of Hon, Bryan Acheampong and has the following criteria:

Teachers who want to be part of this scholarship scheme must go through a routine criterion of qualification. All applicants must have taught continuously for at least Ten (10) years in the Kwahu East District. This merits them the opportunity to submit an application letter to the Bryan Acheampong Foundation for the scholarship. The applicants shortlisted will receive a preapproval document. A full scholarship will eventually be approved once the applicant gets a full admission to the Presbyterian University College (Okwahu Campus) to pursue a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree programme.

The programmes one can pursue includes the following:

BEd. Social Studies
B.A. Business Studies
Bsc. Mathematics
MEd. Educational Studies

All Qualified teachers (applicants) who submit application letters for the Scholarship must accompany their applications with the following documents:

A letter of recommendation from the District Director of Education Kwahu East.
A letter of recommendation from a member of the community in good standing.
A brief write-up on the applicant, including work history, but not limited to previous academic achievements and career aspirations.

All applicants must be available for the interviews and other selection processes required by the foundation and the education Directorate.

The decision to establish this scholarship was precipitated by Hon. Bryan Acheampong’s firm belief in human Resource development, as well as a will to encourage Teacher retention in the Kwahu East District. The scholarship package will also ensure excellent academic performance of students at all levels.
