Bosomtwe District roads to see asphalt overlay as gov’t engages contractors

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) government, led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has fulfilled one of its major campaign promises of fixing the bad roads in Bosomtwe District and other communities within the district.

Speaking to the assembly member for Aputuogya who is the the works and housing convener in the district, Hon Joseph Asante, he said contractors have been engaged to commence the asphalt project from Antonsu to Kuntenase.

The contractor working on the roads in the district will extend it to the other near by villages.

The contractors are also to commence work on a similar asphalt overlay project at Esreso, Sawua and other towns in the district.

The District chief executive Hon lawyer Kwame Assuming inspecting the roads said, there will be no compensation for those who has build at the unauthorised places including containers.

Inspecting the project today, the assembly member, Hon Joseph Asante was very happy when he visited the Esreso – Feyiase roads.

Addressing the media, Hon Joseph Aante stated emphatically that, “The NPP government, especially President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s campaign promises are real,” adding, “We are in office for less than three years but we are delivering.”
According to him, President Akufo-Addo, who was not happy about how Ashanti region roads had been ignored, constantly gave the assurance that he would fix them when elected president; “and we are fulfilling our promise to the people of Ghana.
