Ambassador Fatima Goni Hails Gov. Zulum For Organising Fasting, Prayers For Peace In Borno

National Chairman Grassroots Mobilizers for President Mahammadu Buhari, Ambassador Fatima Muhammad Goni, has said Borno state governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has through the one day fasting and prayers for peace in the state has brought the entire state together for proper understanding.
Speaking in Abuja when she hosted people during the breaking of fast to mark the end of the day’s fasting and prayers, Ambassador Goni enjoined both Christians and muslims in the state to see themselves as brothers and sisters in order to fight insecurity that has brought untold hardship to the people.
She explained, “As the entire state sought the face of the Almighty God for his mercies and intervention in insecurity which has led to killing and destruction of lives and property, we should see this fasting and prayers as a step in the right direction for the sustenance of peace, unity and development of the state.
“Governor Zulum needs our prayers and support for the overall development of Borno state and its peaceful coexistence devoid of any challenge from any part of the state.
Recall that Borno state has since 2009 have virtually been take over by the activities of Boko Haram thereby affecting social lives.
Ambassador Goni therefore called on other state governors to borrow a leaf from governor Zulum towards finding lasting solutions to the security challenges that have make some states in the country ungovernable.
She added, “I pray that God Almighty will continue to guard and give governor Babagana Umara Zulum wisdom on how to unite the entire state in order to fight anything that will stand against the progress and better understanding of one another in Borno state.”
Also, a Chief Imam, Ustaz Muhammad Kyari, commended the way and manner governor Babagana Umara Zulum has within a short time of his administration has positive in the lives of the people thereby giving them new hope in the day today running the affairs of the people.
He said that with the one day fasting and prayers that was done in the state for there to be peace, the state would continue to express peace and unity, and restore the lost glory the state was known with in years past.
