Allan and Otobi Ward Endorse Hon Angbo Kennedy, as the whole Akweya Nation come out in Mass to support their Son

The stakeholders and people of Akpa in Otukpo local government which constist of two wards, Allan and Otobi have unanimously endorsed the candidacy of Hon Angbo Kennedy who is the flag bearer of the All progressives Congress for Otukpo Local government in the March 28 Benue state LG elections.

In what one could describe as a home coming visit, Hon. Angbo was presented to the stakeholders of the Akweya Nation who came out in numbers to welcome their Proud son back home for further consultations by the former Deputy Speaker and former Governorship candidate RT.Hon Ralph Igbago. Hon. Igbago who is the political leader of the Akweya Nation was happy to present to the Akpa people one of their own son who for the first time had contested a primaries to be Chairman and Won with out any internal issues.

Hon Ralph poured praises on another Akpa son and the major rival for the APC Otukpo Chairmanship ticket Hon Kelvin Ochakpa who stepped down for his brother Hon Angbo. He discribed Ochakpa as a dogged fighter and a seasoned politican who’s integrity and reason for joining the race could not be questioned. Igbago thanked the Leaders of Otukpo Local Government in the person’s of Hon Nelson Alapa, Dr Sam Ode, Ambassador Dickson Akor, Dr Adakole Adanu, APC Chairman Abba Yaro, Otukpo APC LG and a host of others for initiating a free, fair and credible process that produced Hon Angbo Kennedy as the concensus candidate for the APC in Otukpo LG.
The Leaders and stakeholders of Allan and Otobi ward also presented their concensus Councillorship candidates to to Hon Angbo in the person’s of Hon Ojoko Onah Richard for Allan ward and Hon Ocheikwu Agu James for Otobi ward.
In his remarks, Hon Angbo thanked the stakeholders and entire APC family in Otukpo LG for believing in him and giving him the opportunity to fly the party flag in the march 28 Benue state Local government Elections. He promised to always consult party leaders going forward and promised to deliver on all his promises to the good people of Otukpo when he assumed office…
Former Benue State PDP woman leader who is now a cheiftain of the APC Hon Kate Eche charged the Akpa and the whole Akewya people to rally round their own son as the position of Chairmanship had eluded them for so long now and this was the time to prove to the whole Otukpo that Akpa was a united front notwithstanding party difference. She warned against betrayals and hearsay, she also urged the people not to be afraid of the elections or rumors making rounds that votes won’t count. She urged the people to be watchful and campaign with vigor and not forgetting to protect their votes…

In his own remarks, Dr Adakole Adanu who led a delegation from Ugboju and Adoka assured Hon. Angbo and the whole Akewya Nation of their total support and bloc vote come march 28th. He stated that just like the Akpa, they also knows what it feels like to not be on the scheme of things and as such would do everything in their power to make sure APC carries the day..

Speaking on behalf of a group of Otukpo Youth’s Comr Iliya Hassan (Sarkin Yaki) challenged the Akweya Nation to rally behind their son. According to him the days of Obi been a boy was over and and it was time for the people of Akpa to come together and decide their future. He reminded the people of Akpa about their experiences in past elections where an Akpa man always failed to win a primary talk more an elective position in the state. He reminded them that aside Hon Ralph Igbago Akpa has never produced or won any election or even an appointment in the state especially under the present Ortom Led PDP administration…

In his thank you remarks, Hon ANGBO assured the people of his preparedness for the election and promised to deliver on all his promises when elected. He charged the people to focus on an issue based campaign and stay away from violence but at thesame time protect themselves always from every form of intimkdationuby the PDP. He thanked all those who came out to show support and assured them of his willingness to always listen to advise that would help grow Otukpo.
