A 9-year-old girl was found hanged in her parents’ bedroom on Johnson street, in Monrovia, Liberia on Wednesday, December 4, at about 2:PM.
The victim has been identified as a favour, a student of the St. Theresa’s Convent High School in Monrovia.
The little girl was found hanged with a rope attached to a board cover often used as storage for dishes.
According to community residents, her parents were not home when she arrived from school.
The cause of death is yet to be established. However, Liberians have taken to Facebook to call for an investigation. One Wen Sailey circled a spot on the girl’s head which seems to indicate that her head is bleeding. He wrote:
”Here are my questions.
1. Why her feet on the ground?
2. How many children are there in the house?
3. Where were the parents?
4. How strong is the cupboard to carry her weight?
5. How strong is the rope?
6. How long is the rope?
7. Why is her head bleeding?
Before my conclusion, we need autopsy for little Favor of St. Theresa Convent school.
